I am a Simple photographer who loves Nature, Landscapes, Architecture and the Human form. It does not matter if the person is male or female, but I do find more interesting possess from a lady than a man. Now my main quest is nature and has the ability to incorporates a Macro style or close up image, in the Autumn period I actively look for the fungal trail incorporating the wayside examples from both woodland and country footways.
My personal development started with an Open University 10-week special course in Photography. This lite the spark inside me to prove to myself that I can and will produce images that firstly I have planned, secondly organised, thirdly took that image and fourthly present that image to people who only know me through my photography.
Since my HNC photographic course, I have developed and honed my skill in planning, processing and production. From this I have further developed my interest in all things Nature, Flora, and some of the Insects and ground dwelling life forms local to me and this country. But that will be work in progress with visits to other countries.
This has developed into a passion for Macro and close up photography. But still keeping Landscape, Architectural, Wildlife and to a small degree people in my envelope of styles and genres.
My past photographic courses, of which the HNC was one of them have opened my passion to further develop my ability to produce and develop myself as that photographer who will not only have that front cover image of s publication but also have the ability to see that special moment to take that image for a gallery of my choice. Now I have once again progressed and started the Higher National Diploma (HND) Course in Photography, just to keep my brain active and looking for that special image.
My Seasonal Colander consist of the following:
Winter time is my special time to prepare for the coming spring cleaning up shots that I took all the way through the year and regenerating portfolios, finding out what potential footway has instore for my love of nature. This is the time animals come out of their hiding places to find food, warmth and companionship.
This has led me to the Snowdrop season and the transition period between Winter and Spring.
Spring for me starts with snowdrops with the intricate beauty of those delicate little buds. I have lost count of the number of Snowdrop images I have but each one has its own story and beauty. Then comes the flowering season bringing everything back to life. At this time, you have the start of the wildlife lifecycle developing and hunting for their offspring. This brings numerous opportunities for both land, water and air creatures to shine while looking to find food.
During the summer season I make time for landscape photography, especially during the afternoon/evening Golden Hour sunshine period. This brings in soft warm sunshine to both landscape and architectural sites such as churches, and older style buildings. The afternoon evening light splashing across a landscape just fills me with hope and joy and then to show it off to others so they have the ability to see that same beauty.
Portraiture, fashion and people images are still part of my program, who would not love the chance to use their imagination or the imagination of that model to create images that both look and feel like a master production. This would be either in a studio or open-air location of their choice producing a set of images they want and are happy to keep and cherish.
