#48 of 73

The Black-Bellied Whistling Duck, formerly known as the Black-Bellied Tree Duck is native to parts of the Americas, but has expanded its range in the last two to three decades, and in Louisiana is regarded by some as an invasive species. It is gregarious, settling in large flocks, and as the name implies, nesting in hollow trees. They are often seen in large groups standing on tree branches, but have learned to stand on turtles too!

I can see for miles up here!
